Atlanta Community Support Project (ACSP) is all about researching and resourcing in ways that empower people impacted by poverty and incarceration to self-advocate so we can improve our situations and lives. Our community is made up of people incarcerated in Georgia, those who were previously incarcerated (nationwide), family members, movement comrades, individual supporters, and lawyers fighting the good fight alongside us. By sharing your email address, you consent to us sending you info about ACSP happenings, resources, and ways to get involved. We also help spread the word about food, housing, education, and job opportunities that come through our networks. We're strategic about how and when we email folks, and won't bombard your inbox!
Looking for an internship?
ACSP offers a limited number of internships to both undergraduate and graduate students each calendar year. Though much of the work will be performed remotely, in-person weekly meetings are required, as well as attendance at events in Atlanta. If you're interested, fill out our
internship application and someone will get back to you.
Want to join the Legal Access Action network?

We're always looking to build relationships with new volunteer lawyers who care, no matter how much or little time you have to spare. Through our newly re-branded initiative,
Legal Access Action, ACSP connects volunteer attorneys to the work of jailhouse lawyers, building power and equity for better post-conviction and parole outcomes in Georgia by grounding our collective efforts in community-led legal advocacy. Through LAA, we host CLE trainings and provide support every step of the way for those who decide to take on a case pro bono. Our pro bono support work in 2024-2025 has been focused on seeking parole release for people serving life sentences, as well as providing resentencing support for DV survivors under the new Georgia Survivor Justice Act.
