Created in 2024, the ACSP Attorney Review Database is a community-driven response to the urgent need for transparency in legal representation for incarcerated people and their families. Unlike commercial platforms such as Google Reviews or Avvo, this resource cannot be accessed or influenced by attorneys themselves. Reviews are written by impacted people, ensuring an honest and unfiltered record of experiences.
While we welcome reviews from anywhere in the U.S., most submissions currently focus on Georgia litigation, especially post-conviction work. The database helps us collectively hold attorneys accountable, by refusing to funnel money toward exploitative practices and by uplifting those who demonstrate integrity and a commitment to our community. It's not just about avoiding harm; it’s about building a trusted network of lawyers who have proven to stand with us and fight for us.
Incarcerated folks can write to ACSP for reviews of specific attorneys they're considering working with.
